General labourer — farm

Greenway Advance Produce is situated in Bradford, ON and is hiring a General labourer — farm to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Terms of employment: Seasonal employment or Full time. The schedule involves Overtime required, Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Flexible hours, Overtime available shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must apply fertilizers.
• The candidate must apply the technique of hoeing between the row.
• The candidate must clean crops effectively.
• The candidate must cut agricultural crops.
• The candidate must divide fresh harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots.
• The candidate must grade vegetables and fruits into different grades according to size, shape, colour, and volume to fetch a high price in the market.
• The candidate will be responsible for harvesting vegetables by hand.
• The candidate must harvest seedlings.
• The candidate must pack fruits and vegetables.
• The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
• The candidate must perform weeding.
• The candidate must write daily basic progress reports.
• The candidate must clean work areas.
• The candidate must fertilize and spray crops.
• The candidate must harvest crops.
• The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
• The candidate must examine product for quality and market readiness.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
