General farm worker - livestock

SD Farms ( Otterville, ON) is currently looking for a skilled General farm worker - livestock. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must handle animals.
• The candidate must monitor animal health.
• The candidate must perform animal grooming activities.
• The candidate must perform livestock feeding.
• The candidate must feed and tend animals.
• The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
• The candidate must milk cows.
• The candidate must clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens.
• The candidate must detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock, and poultry.
• The candidate must perform general farm duties.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must work in hot conditions.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
• The candidate must work in all weather conditions.
• The candidate must work in dirty environments.
