General farm worker - livestock

Port Perry Farm Inc ( Seagrave, ON) is currently looking for a skilled General farm worker - livestock. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. Flexible availability required for: Morning, Day, Flexible hours, , 09:00 to 17:00.

Job Description

• The candidate must monitor animal health.
• The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
• The candidate must fertilize and spray crops.
• The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
• The candidate must clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens.
• The candidate must write daily basic progress reports.
• The candidate will be responsible for harvesting vegetables by hand.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be able to lift more than 45 kg (100 lbs).
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must show initiative.
• The candidate must be accurate.

Work Setting
