General farm worker - harvesting

Green Leaf Farm Ltd is situated in Surrey, BC and is hiring a General farm worker - harvesting to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Terms of employment: Seasonal employment or Full time. Required shifts: Early morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Flexible hours, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must apply fertilizers.
• The candidate must clean crops effectively.
• The candidate must cut agricultural crops.
• The candidate must cut agricultural seed according to farm standards.
• The candidate must divide fresh harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots.
• The candidate must grade vegetables and fruits into different grades according to size, shape, colour, and volume to fetch a high price in the market.
• The candidate must perform greenhouse cleaning.
• The candidate will be responsible for harvesting vegetables by hand.
• The candidate must harvest seedlings.
• The candidate must mix fertilizers.
• The candidate must pack fruits and vegetables.
• The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
• The candidate must perform weeding.
• The candidate must clean work areas.
• The candidate must fertilize and spray crops.
• The candidate must harvest crops.
• The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
• The candidate must detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock, and poultry.
• The candidate must examine product for quality and market readiness.
• The candidate must set and monitor water lines, air flow, and temperature in barns, pens, and chicken coops.
