Garbage truck loader

Groupe Vision Environnement Inc. in Contrecoeur, QC is seeking a self-motivated Garbage truck loader. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Required shifts: Early morning, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must collect and load refuse on garbage trucks.
• The candidate must assist equipment operators to secure attachments to equipment or trucks.
• The candidate must assist in routine maintenance and repair of equipment.
• The candidate must assist skilled tradespersons.
• The candidate must load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English or French.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in various positions, including those that require sitting, standing, and walking, as well as those that involve physical activity.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate must work in cold or refrigerated conditions.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
• The candidate must work in hot conditions.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
• The candidate must work in wet or damp conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in an urban area with a high population density.
