Footwear salesperson - retail

Mahone Bay Trading Company Ltd is situated in Mahone Bay, NS and is hiring a Footwear salesperson - retail to join the team. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This is a Permanent employment - Part time leading to full time position. Flexible availability required for: Day, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must accept cash, cheque, credit card, or automatic debit payments.
• The candidate must operate the cash register accurately.
• The candidate must provide advice regarding merchandise to customers.
• The candidate must provide exceptional customer service.
• The candidate must assist in the display of merchandise.
• The candidate must greet customers and discuss the type, quality, and quantity of merchandise or services sought for purchase, rental, or lease.
• The candidate must maintain sales records for inventory control.
• The candidate must prepare merchandise for purchase, rental, or lease.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Equivalent experience is acceptable.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a shoe store to help customers find the right pair.
