Food processing labourer

Les Aliments Otentik in Saint-Eustache, QC is inviting applications for the position of Food processing labourer. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Required shifts: Overtime required, Day, Evening, , 08:00 to 16:30.

Job Description

• The candidate must have food safety and handling skills.
• The candidate must transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials.
• The candidate must measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines.
• The candidate must feed flattened boxes into forming machines to construct containers.
• The candidate must remove filled containers from conveyors.
• The candidate must manually pack goods into bags, boxes, or other containers.
• The candidate must feed and unload processing machines.
• The candidate must check products and packaging for basic quality defects.
• The candidate must clean machines and immediate work areas.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in French.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Relevant experience considered in lieu of education.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.
• The candidate must be able to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• The candidate must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.

• The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a food and beverage plant to operate equipment, manage production, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
