Floor covering installer

MS DRYWALL LTD. in Calgary, AB is inviting applications for the position of Floor covering installer. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. The schedule involves Overtime required, Morning, Day, Evening, Shift shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered.
• The candidate must prepare flooring plans and scheduling.
• The candidate must prepare tenders and quotations.
• The candidate must measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings.
• The candidate must prepare and install hardwood floors.
• The candidate must inspect and repair damaged floor coverings.
• The candidate must prepare floors for installations.
• The candidate must remove existing floor coverings and contaminants.
• The candidate must install carpeting on walls or other surfaces.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a commercial setting that fosters a workforce of highly competent, respectful, mature, and accountable employees working toward a common goal.
• The candidate must work in residential settings, performing tasks on one-, two-, and three-family dwellings.
