Floor covering installer

CK Flooring & Renovation in Brampton, ON is inviting applications for the position of Floor covering installer. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. The schedule involves Morning, Day, Evening, Shift, On call shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered.
• The candidate must measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding.
• The candidate must prepare flooring plans and scheduling.
• The candidate must measure, cut, and install carpeting on floors.
• The candidate must measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings.
• The candidate must prepare and install hardwood floors.
• The candidate must inspect and repair damaged floor coverings.
• The candidate must prepare floors for installations.
• The candidate must remove existing floor coverings and contaminants.
• The candidate must install carpeting on walls or other surfaces.
• The candidate must perform double-bond carpet installations.
• The candidate must install outdoor carpets.
• The candidate must install materials on countertops and raised platforms.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
