Floor covering installer

MAC Tiling in Mountain House, AB is inviting applications for the position of Floor covering installer. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Required shifts: Morning, Day, Weekend, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered.
• The candidate must measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding.
• The candidate must measure, cut, and install carpeting on floors.
• The candidate must prepare and install hardwood floors.
• The candidate must inspect and repair damaged floor coverings.
• The candidate must prepare floors for installations.
• The candidate must remove existing floor coverings and contaminants.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a commercial setting that fosters a workforce of highly competent, respectful, mature, and accountable employees working toward a common goal.
• The candidate must work in residential settings, performing tasks on one-, two-, and three-family dwellings.
• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
