Floor covering installer

GCAD CONSTRUCTION INC. is situated in Brampton, ON and is hiring a Floor covering installer to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Morning, Day, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered.
• The candidate must read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
• The candidate must measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding.
• The candidate must measure, cut, and install carpeting on floors.
• The candidate must measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings.
• The candidate must prepare and install hardwood floors.
• The candidate must inspect and repair damaged floor coverings.
• The candidate must estimate costs and materials.
• The candidate must prepare floors for installations.
• The candidate must remove existing floor coverings and contaminants.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Equivalent professional experience accepted.
