Floor covering installer

Smitco Flooring Ltd ( Dartmouth, NS) is currently looking for a skilled Floor covering installer. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. The schedule involves Day, Flexible hours shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered.
• The candidate must measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding.
• The candidate must measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings.
• The candidate must prepare and install hardwood floors.
• The candidate must inspect and repair damaged floor coverings.
• The candidate must prepare floors for installations.
• The candidate must remove existing floor coverings and contaminants.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
