Fitter, structural steel

Whitemud Ironworks Limited in Nisku, AB is seeking a self-motivated Fitter, structural steel. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Required shifts: Evening, Night.

Job Description

• The candidate must lay out reference points and patterns.
• The candidate must assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures.
• The candidate must set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machines.
• The candidate must construct patterns and templates.
• The candidate must install fabricated components in final product.
• The candidate must rig, hoist, and move materials to storage areas or within the worksite.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.

• The candidate must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
