IGA Extra Famille Vincent in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, QC is inviting applications for the position of Fishmonger - retail. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. The schedule involves Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Flexible hours shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must clean and prepare fish and shellfish.
• The candidate must cut fish into steaks and fillets.
• The candidate must supervise other butchers, meat cutters, and fishmongers.
• The candidate must train meat cutters.
• The candidate must prepare special orders.
• The candidate must prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products.
• The candidate must shape, lace, and tie roasts, other meats, poultry, and seafood.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in French.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must show initiative.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
• The candidate must work in cold or refrigerated conditions.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in a supermarket/grocery store self-service shop offering a wide variety of food, beverages, and household products, organized into sections.
