Fish-processing plant labourer

Now hiring: Fish-processing plant labourer at Adrice Cormier Ltd. in Cap-Pele, NB. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Work schedule: Morning, Day, Evening, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must transport fish and shellfish to the designated work area.
• The candidate must weigh fish or shellfish, record weights, and pack products in ice for storage or transport.
• The candidate must clean machines and immediate work areas.
• The candidate must sort fish according to species, weight, and destination.
• The candidate must operate a forklift.
• The candidate must scrape away scales, cut fish, separate fillets, and remove scrap parts using a knife.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English or French.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must have excellent hand-eye coordination.

• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
