Fish processing labourer

EAST CAPE OYSTER COMPANY in Charlottetown, PE is seeking a self-motivated Fish processing labourer. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. This is a Seasonal employment or Full time position. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Morning, Day, To be determined.

Job Description

• The candidate must transport fish and shellfish to the designated work area.
• The candidate must weigh fish or shellfish, record weights, and pack products in ice for storage or transport.
• The candidate must clean machines and immediate work areas.
• The candidate must sort fish according to species, weight, and destination.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• No experience required. The employer will provide training to the selected candidate.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Site Environment

• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
• The candidate must work in cold or refrigerated conditions.
• The candidate must work in wet or damp conditions.
