WM. R. MURPHY FISHERIES LTD. ( Arcadia, NS) is currently looking for a skilled Fish plant worker. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. Position status: Seasonal employment or Full time. The schedule involves Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must cut and weigh fish fillets according to specifications.
• The candidate must cut, clean, and trim fish or seafood prior to marketing or further processing.
• The candidate must scrape away scales, cut fish, separate fillets, and remove scrap parts using a knife.
• The candidate must transport fish and shellfish to the designated work area.
• The candidate must condition fish filets for wrapping or freezing.
• The candidate must clean machines and immediate work areas.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a standing position for extended periods.
