Finance officer

DGH Foundation in Dartmouth, NS is seeking a self-motivated Finance officer. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Flexible hours, , 08:30 to 16:30.

Job Description

• The candidate must keep financial records and establish, maintain, and balance accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
• The candidate must maintain general ledgers and financial statements.
• The candidate must prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports.
• The candidate must reconcile accounts.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a social service or charity agency, delivering programs and support that address community needs and promote social welfare.
