Farm supervisor

Up Vertical Farms Ltd in Pitt Meadows, BC is seeking a self-motivated Farm supervisor. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Work schedule: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must cultivate and manage vertical farming systems.
• The candidate must develop specific plans to prioritize.
• The candidate must mix fertilizers.
• The candidate must organize tasks to accomplish the work.
• The candidate must co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers.
• The candidate must ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are strictly followed.
• The candidate must maintain quality control and production records.
• The candidate must supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations.
• The candidate must maintain accurate work records and logs.
• The candidate must hire and train staff.
• The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
• The candidate must establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient operations.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
