Job Description

  • The candidate must clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens, and other work areas.
  • The candidate must conduct artificial insemination and spraying or shearing of livestock, or disinfect pens, barns or poultry houses.
  • The candidate must consider water saturation, light, and temperature when planning for crop growth and development.
  • The candidate must cut agricultural crops.
  • The candidate must develop specific plans to prioritize.
  • The candidate must diagnose livestock health issues.
  • The candidate must direct farm feed inventory activities.
  • The candidate must direct farm grooming activities.
  • The candidate must handle animals.
  • The candidate must implement soil fertility programs.
  • The candidate must mark livestock as proof of ownership.
  • The candidate must monitor the calving process.
  • The candidate must monitor animal health.
  • The candidate must organize tasks to accomplish the work.
  • The candidate must oversee the process of hoeing crops.
  • The candidate must be familiar with soil fertility programs.
  • The candidate must treat livestock health issues.
  • The candidate must perform weeding.
  • The candidate must assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures.
