HealX Medical Centre & Urgent Care in Brampton, ON is seeking a self-motivated Family physician. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. The schedule involves Shift, Flexible hours, To be determined shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must collect medical information from patients, family members, or other medical professionals.
• The candidate must examine patients’ health conditions to identify diseases and injuries.
• The candidate must help patients develop healthy habits, break old habits, and reshape their approach to wellness.
• The candidate must order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures to determine the most appropriate medical treatment.
• The candidate must consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients’ physical and mental health.
• The candidate must prescribe and administer medications and treatments.
• The candidate must advise patients on health care.
• The candidate must act as the patient advocate.
• The candidate must coordinate or manage primary patient care.
• The candidate must provide acute care management.
• The candidate must provide counselling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry or equivalent experience.
• A candidate with experience is an asset.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a general office.
