Now hiring: Fabric store manager at The Stitchery Studio in Port Moody, BC. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This role offers Term or contractFull time employment. Work schedule: Day, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must direct and control daily operations.
• The candidate must evaluate daily operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• The candidate must plan and organize daily operations effectively.
• The candidate must manage staff and assign duties to ensure smooth operations.
• The candidate must develop and implement marketing strategies.
• The candidate must resolve issues that arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
• The candidate must recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers.
• The candidate must conduct performance reviews.
• The candidate must mark, cut, and sew fabric.

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be adaptable.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a hobby, crafts, or novelty store to support sales, manage stock, and assist customers.
• The candidate should work in a retail business, purchasing goods from manufacturers or wholesalers, and selling these goods to consumers in small quantities.

• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in various positions, including those that require sitting, standing, and walking, as well as those that involve physical activity.
