Excavating machine operator

Armour Guard Fence Inc. ( Surrey, BC) is currently looking for a skilled Excavating machine operator. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment.

Job Description

• The candidate must interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to plan methods or sequences of operation.
• The candidate must operate heavy equipment.
• The candidate must read blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
• The candidate must clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks.
• The candidate must measure distance, volume, length, and weight.
• The candidate must operate computer-controlled equipment.
• The candidate must complete onboard and other logs.
• The candidate must conduct pre-operational checks on equipment.
• The candidate must secure special attachments to equipment.
• The candidate must operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
