Estimator, construction cost

Certa Industries in Leduc, AB is seeking a self-motivated Estimator, construction cost. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. The schedule involves Day, , 08:00 to 17:00 shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs.
• The candidate must prepare pre-qualification submissions to present to clients.
• The candidate must read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
• The candidate must create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms.
• The candidate must utilize quantity take-off procedures.
• The candidate must advise on tendering procedures.
• The candidate must analyze tenders and recommend awards.
• The candidate must liaise, consult, and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
