Electrical mechanic

upper crust ( North York, ON) is currently looking for a skilled Electrical mechanic. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Shift timings include: Day, Night, Weekend, Shift, To be determined, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must read blueprints to determine work requirements.
• The candidate must test and observe electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment.
• The candidate must troubleshoot and repair electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators, and other electro-mechanical equipment.
• The candidate must use machining tools to fabricate or recondition parts.
• The candidate must replace or recondition shafts, bearings, commutators, and other components.
• The candidate must wind, assemble, and install various types of coils.
• The candidate must perform some machining to recondition or modify shafts, commutators, or other parts.
• The candidate must perform on-site servicing and repair.
• The candidate must test and repair or replace faulty wiring or components in electrical switchgear.
• The candidate must test repaired motors, transformers, switchgear, or other electrical apparatus to ensure proper performance.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.

Work Site Environment

• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
