Yukon Home Services is situated in Whitehorse, YT and is hiring a Electrical estimator - construction to join the team. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Flexible availability required for: Overtime required, Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening.

Job Description

• The candidate must prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs.
• The candidate must read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
• The candidate must operate CADD and other computer software systems.
• The candidate must prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads.
• The candidate must create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms.
• The candidate must utilize quantity take-off procedures.
• The candidate must set up cost monitoring and reporting systems.
• The candidate must monitor and adjust contract expenditures.
• The candidate must prepare and maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors.
• The candidate must liaise, consult, and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
