Jumping Jack Childcare ( Kelowna, BC) is currently looking for a skilled Early childhood educator (ECE). Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. The schedule involves Morning, Day, Evening, Shift, Flexible hours, Overtime available shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers.
• The candidate must maintain daycare equipment.
• The candidate must engage in storytelling.
• The candidate must synthesize the overall situation of the children and communicate the information to the parents.
• The candidate must lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
• The candidate must encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activities.
• The candidate must engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.
• The candidate must guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
• The candidate must prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
• The candidate must discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings.
• The candidate must attend staff meetings to discuss the progress and challenges of children.
• The candidate must establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
• The candidate must plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
• The candidate must supervise and co-ordinate activities of other early childhood educators and assistants.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
