Early childhood educator (ECE)

Little People's Workshop ( St. John's, NL) is currently looking for a skilled Early childhood educator (ECE). The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Required shifts: Morning, Day.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma.
• Equivalent experience is acceptable.
• The candidate must be punctual.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in various positions, including those that require sitting, standing, and walking, as well as those that involve physical activity.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.

Work Setting

• The candidate must work in a daycare center or nursery school, providing care and supervision while supporting educational and recreational activities that promote children’s cognitive and social development.
