Dump truck driver

C.D. Blue Ltd. in Queensville, NS is inviting applications for the position of Dump truck driver. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. Position status: Seasonal employment or Full time. Required shifts: Early morning, Morning, Day, Weekend, On call, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must address and resolve customers' complaints or concerns professionally.
• The candidate must demonstrate expertise in mountain driving.
• The candidate must demonstrate professionalism in customer service.
• The candidate must oversee the condition of vehicles and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
• The candidate must perform brake adjustments.
• The candidate must perform emergency roadside repairs.
• The candidate must perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle operation.
• The candidate must perform preventive maintenance.
• The candidate must receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• The candidate must record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.
• The candidate must tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo.
• The candidate must maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
• The candidate must load and off-load machines.
• The candidate must assist equipment operators to secure attachments to equipment or trucks.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
