Drywall taper

Kudrat Services ( Beechville, NS) is currently looking for a skilled Drywall taper. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Shift timings include: Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints smoothly.
• The candidate must apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster.
• The candidate must cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
• The candidate must fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
• The candidate must mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency.
• The candidate must tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.
• The candidate must prepare wall and ceiling layouts.
• The candidate must work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages.
• The candidate must erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
