MAHIL DRYWALL LTD. in Surrey, BC is inviting applications for the position of Drywall installer. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. Shift timings include: Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints smoothly.
• The candidate must clean and prepare surfaces.
• The candidate must cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
• The candidate must fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
• The candidate must fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
• The candidate must measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets.
• The candidate must position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
• The candidate must smooth out excess compound and allow coats to dry.
• The candidate must tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must have 2 to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
