Drywall installer

Pal Renovations is situated in Paradise, NL and is hiring a Drywall installer to join the team. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Work schedule: Day.

Job Description

• The candidate must read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
• The candidate must prepare tenders and quotations.
• The candidate must supervise other workers.
• The candidate must clean and prepare surfaces.
• The candidate must measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets.
• The candidate must position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
• The candidate must attach metal or gypsum lath to studs or furring.
• The candidate must install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings using hand and power tools.
• The candidate must prepare wall and ceiling layouts.
• The candidate must utilize laser alignment systems.
• The candidate must estimate costs and materials.
• The candidate must work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages.
• The candidate must erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
