Arctic Construction in Whitehorse, YT is inviting applications for the position of Drywall finisher. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. The schedule involves Day shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
• The candidate must prepare tenders and quotations.
• The candidate must supervise other workers.
• The candidate must apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster.
• The candidate must clean and prepare surfaces.
• The candidate must fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
• The candidate must finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in finish coat, if required.
• The candidate must tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.
• The candidate must install exterior and interior steel studs.
• The candidate must install vapour barriers and thermal and sound insulation.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must have 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
