Driver, gravel truck

Marnevic Construction Ltd. ( Fox Creek, AB) is currently looking for a skilled Driver, gravel truck. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Required shifts: Overtime required, Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, To be determined, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must demonstrate professionalism in customer service.
• The candidate must load and unload goods efficiently.
• The candidate must oversee the condition of vehicles and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
• The candidate must perform brake adjustments.
• The candidate must perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle operation.
• The candidate must perform preventive maintenance.
• The candidate must receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• The candidate must tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor's degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in staff accommodation that offers live-in accommodation when an employer provides a housing offer to its employees.

• The candidate should be willing to work for long hours in sitting positions.

Security and Safety

• The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.
