couture et retouches ( Québec, QC) is currently looking for a skilled Dressmaker. The successful candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible. Position status: Term or contractFull time. Flexible availability required for: Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must make made-to-measure garments according to customer and manufacturing specifications.
• The candidate must fit, alter, and repair garments as required.
• The candidate must make, alter, or re-style fur garments and accessories.
• The candidate must operate sewing machines or sew by hand.
• The candidate must select and modify commercial patterns to meet customer and manufacturer specifications and fit.
• The candidate must design patterns to fit measurements.
• The candidate must mark, cut, and sew fabric.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in French.
• The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade.
• The ideal candidate must have more than 5 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must show initiative.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be reliable.
