Job Description

  • The candidate must bring clean dishes, flatware, and other items to serving areas and set up tables accordingly.
  • The candidate must clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs.
  • The candidate must operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware.
  • The candidate must place dishes in storage areas.
  • The candidate must replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas.
  • The candidate must sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand.
  • The candidate must package take-out food.
  • The candidate must portion and wrap foods.
  • The candidate must prepare, heat, and finish simple food items.
  • The candidate must serve customers at counters or buffet tables.
  • The candidate must stock refrigerators and salad bars.
  • The candidate must take customers’ orders.
  • The candidate must use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs.
  • The candidate must clean and sanitize kitchens, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • The candidate must receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate must be fluent in English.
  • The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program lasting 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Equivalent professional experience accepted.
