Ashley Furniture Home Store in Dartmouth, NS is inviting applications for the position of Delivery driver. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Work schedule: Day.

Job Description

• The candidate must operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver items and products.
• The candidate must demonstrate professionalism in customer service.
• The candidate must assemble, install, and set up merchandise/products.
• The candidate must load and unload goods efficiently.
• The candidate must use maps and other trip planning aids.
• The candidate must perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle operation.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be able to lift more than 45 kg (100 lbs).
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
