Crane operator

Con-drain Group in Concord, ON is seeking a self-motivated Crane operator. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. Required shifts: Overtime required, Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, On call, Flexible hours, To be determined, Overtime available.

Job Description

• The candidate must calculate crane capacities.
• The candidate must measure weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting.
• The candidate must operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position, or place equipment and materials.
• The candidate must perform pre-operational inspections.
• The candidate must clean and lubricate cranes.
• The candidate must operate pile driving cranes to drive pilings into the earth to provide support for buildings and other structures.
• The candidate must instruct apprentices.
• The candidate must operate cranes equipped with dredging attachments to dredge waterways and other areas.
• The candidate must assemble tower cranes on site.
• The candidate must operate gantry cranes to load and unload ship cargo at port side.
• The candidate must operate locomotive cranes to move objects and materials at railway yards.
• The candidate must operate bridge or overhead cranes to lift, move, and place plant machinery and materials.
• The candidate must operate offshore oil rig cranes to unload and reload supply vessels.
• The candidate must operate cranes mounted on boats or barges to lift, move, and place equipment and materials.
• The candidate must operate dragline cranes to expose coal seams and ore deposits at open-pit mines.
• The candidate must perform routine maintenance work.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate must be dependable.
• The candidate must be hardworking.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
