Squamish 99 Courier & Freightways Corporation in Garibaldi Highlands, BC is seeking a self-motivated Courier driver. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. Terms of employment: Permanent employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Overtime required, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand.
• The candidate must demonstrate professionalism in customer service.
• The candidate must receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• The candidate must keep a record of items received and delivered.
• The candidate must load and unload goods efficiently.
• The candidate must sort packages for delivery.
• The candidate must record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any problems.
• The candidate must provide exceptional customer service.
• The candidate must perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of vehicle operation.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.
• The candidate must be able to meet tight deadlines.
• The candidate should be willing to work under pressure.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
• The candidate must be willing to walk for long periods of time.
