The Moonshine Cafe ( Tofield, AB) is currently looking for a skilled Cook. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. This role offers Permanent employment or Full time employment. Required shifts: Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must determine appropriate food portion sizes and associated costs.
• The candidate must plan menus and estimate food requirements for preparation.
• The candidate must requisition food and kitchen supplies as needed.
• The candidate must prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and food items.
• The candidate must prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
• The candidate must prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by a dietitian or chef.
• The candidate must inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure compliance with hygiene standards.
• The candidate must train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
• The candidate must order supplies and equipment.
• The candidate must supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
• The candidate must maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
• The candidate must clean kitchen and work areas.
• The candidate must recruit and hire staff.
• The candidate must organize buffets and banquets.
• The candidate must manage kitchen operations.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in restaurants that are generally fast-paced and require the utmost efficiency.
• The candidate should work in a café operates more like a coffee shop than a traditional breakroom, emphasized with decorations such as bar stools and other lounge furniture.
