Asian Avenue Restaurant ( Vernon, BC) is currently looking for a skilled Cook. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. We are offering a Permanent employment or Full time opportunity. Work schedule: Day, Evening, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must determine appropriate food portion sizes and associated costs.
• The candidate must plan menus and estimate food requirements for preparation.
• The candidate must requisition food and kitchen supplies as needed.
• The candidate must prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and food items.
• The candidate must train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
• The candidate must supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
• The candidate must maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
• The candidate must clean kitchen and work areas.
• The candidate must manage kitchen operations.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in restaurants that are generally fast-paced and require the utmost efficiency.
