Cook

The Dunes Restaurant and Bar ( Sauble Beach, ON) is currently looking for a skilled Cook. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Shift timings include: Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift.

Job Description

• The candidate must determine appropriate food portion sizes and associated costs.
• The candidate must requisition food and kitchen supplies as needed.
• The candidate must prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and food items.
• The candidate must prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
• The candidate must prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by a dietitian or chef.
• The candidate must train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
• The candidate must maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
• The candidate must clean kitchen and work areas.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation or equivalent experience.
• The candidate must have 2 to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
• The candidate must have strong time management skills.
