SOUTH VIETNAM RESTAURANT in North Battleford, SK is inviting applications for the position of Cook, ethnic foods. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Shift timings include: Overtime required.

Job Description

• The candidate must determine appropriate food portion sizes and associated costs.
• The candidate must plan menus and estimate food requirements for preparation.
• The candidate must requisition food and kitchen supplies as needed.
• The candidate must prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and food items.
• The candidate must prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
• The candidate must inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure compliance with hygiene standards.
• The candidate must train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
• The candidate must maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
• The candidate must clean kitchen and work areas.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade.
• Equivalent experience is acceptable.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must have strong time management skills.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in restaurants that are generally fast-paced and require the utmost efficiency.
