Controls technician - electrical and electronics

Newleaf Equipment Solutions Inc. is situated in Abbotsford, BC and is hiring a Controls technician - electrical and electronics to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Work schedule: Morning, Day, Evening.

Job Description

• The candidate must install equipment.
• The candidate must maintain equipment in proper working order.
• The candidate must service equipment.
• The candidate must test power equipment and systems.
• The candidate must assist in design, development, and testing.
• The candidate must calibrate electronic equipment and instruments.
• The candidate must assist in building and testing prototypes to specifications.
• The candidate must collect and compile operational or experimental data.
• The candidate must set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test, and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems.
• The candidate must complete work orders, test, and maintenance reports.
• The candidate must conduct life tests (burn-ins) on components, subassemblies and assemblies.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must be dedicated.
• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.
• The candidate should be willing to work under pressure.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
