Construction worker

Philippe Construction in Winnipeg, MB is inviting applications for the position of Construction worker. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. Position status: Casual employment - Part time leading to full time. Work schedule: Overtime required, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, On call, Flexible hours, To be determined.

Job Description

• The candidate must load, unload, and transport construction materials.
• The candidate must read blueprints to determine work requirements.
• The candidate must mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt accurately.
• The candidate must assist in demolishing buildings.
• The candidate must clean and pile salvaged materials.
• The candidate must perform routine maintenance work.
• The candidate must clean up chemical spills and other contaminants.
• The candidate must remove rubble and other debris at construction sites.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
• The candidate must be able to lift more than 45 kg (100 lbs).
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must be hardworking.
• The candidate should be willing to work under pressure.
