Construction manager

Shine Contracting & Construction Management Inc. is situated in Surrey, BC and is hiring a Construction manager to join the team. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. The schedule involves Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Overtime available shifts.

Job Description

• The candidate must prepare and submit construction project budget estimates.
• The candidate must plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress.
• The candidate must prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements.
• The candidate must establish and implement policies and procedures for quality control.
• The candidate must read blueprints, schematics, and drawings.
• The candidate must develop and implement quality control programs.
• The candidate must prepare reports.
• The candidate must plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.
• The candidate must be able to meet tight deadlines.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.

Work Site Environment

• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
• The candidate should work in a residential construction process that involves expanding, renovating, or constructing a new home or spaces intended to be occupied for residential purposes.
