Construction labourer and helper

Comworx Inc. in Port Perry, ON is seeking a self-motivated Construction labourer and helper. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join and begin duties immediately. We are offering a Permanent employment - Part time opportunity. Shift timings include: Morning, Day, Evening, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must load, unload, and transport construction materials.
• The candidate must test equipment to locate transmission faults.
• The candidate must splice, join, and connect wires.
• The candidate must install surface mount and/or overhead cables.
• The candidate must climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate must be reliable.
• The candidate must be a good team player.
• The candidate must have good judgement skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and busy environment.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
• The candidate should work in an office building; quality workspace design leads to a less stressful and more productive atmosphere.
• The candidate must work in the installation process to set up large-scale, mixed-media constructions, often designed for a specific location or time period.
• The candidate must work in a hospital to provide care, support medical staff, and assist in patient treatment and recovery.
