Now hiring: Construction estimator at STM in Montréal, QC. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Day, Flexible hours.

Job Description

• The candidate must prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs.
• The candidate must read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
• The candidate must prepare master format estimates (Class A).
• The candidate must prepare elemental format estimates (Classes B, C, D).
• The candidate must operate CADD and other computer software systems.
• The candidate must provide economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects.
• The candidate must create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms.
• The candidate must liaise, consult, and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in French.
• The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma.
• Or equivalent experience.
