Now hiring: Concrete finisher at Medeiros Concrete and Construction Ltd. in Spruce Grove, AB. We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal skills to start as soon as possible. Position status: Permanent employment or Full time. Flexible availability required for: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend.

Job Description

• The candidate must check formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement materials.
• The candidate must direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade.
• The candidate must fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement.
• The candidate must operate power vibrators to compact concrete.
• The candidate must level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specifications.
• The candidate must impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
• The candidate must instruct apprentices.
• The candidate must install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures.
• The candidate must apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces.
• The candidate must waterproof, damp-proof, and restore surfaces.
• The candidate must repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
• The candidate must read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must be accurate.
• The candidate must be a good team player.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
