Computer numerical control (CNC) lathe operator - metal machining

B.S.L. MACHINE LIMITED in Edmonton, AB is seeking a self-motivated Computer numerical control (CNC) lathe operator - metal machining. Ideally suited for a motivated individual ready to join the team immediately. This is a Permanent employment or Full time position. Work schedule: Overtime available, , 07:00 to 15:30.

Job Description

• The candidate must operate and set up machines for repetitive machining operations.
• The candidate must verify dimensions of machined parts using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
• The candidate must perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery.
• The candidate must enter CNC codes specifying speed, feed and tool paths.
• The candidate must clean and maintain workspaces.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade or equivalent experience.
• The ideal candidate must have more than 5 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be reliable.
